Whidbey Hardworking Hands hand soap

This is our fifth year of improving our hardworking hand soap (which used to be called gardener's soap). We shift it and improve it every year because we are land lovers, ethical foragers, gardeners, and hard workers ourselves, and we're as loving and patient with our soaps as we are with our gardens (we're still working on being as loving and patient with ourselves). This year the hardworking hands soap holds windfall Whidbey Douglas fir and pine branches plus honeysuckle flowers from the land here, too. All gathered by us or by kind, generous friends after winter windstorms. In addition to the plant-infused olive oils, we also add ground windfall Whidbey Douglas fir needles into the mix as an extra punch of forest love and scrubbiness for dirty hands. The simple beauty of these trees and flowers is heart and soul healing, at least for us!

Relationships matter: the better you know these trees and plants, the more noticeable these benefits tend to be.

The scent is pleasing to our hardworking selves--a mix of lavender, fir, pine, honeysuckle, patchouli (just a hint to represent the earth), and litsea (a light note of citrus). The result is a hardworking, heart-lifting, and beautiful bar that I couldn't stop taking photos of! :-)

Storage and life of the bar: To extend the life of the bar, store it where it can dry quickly after use and where it doesn't get regular spray from the faucet.

Ingredients: Windfall Whidbey Douglas fir and pine branches plus local honeysuckle flowers infused into organic extra virgin olive oil, organic coconut oil, castor oil, distilled water, sodium hydroxide, sodium lactate, ground Whidbey Douglas fir needles, sea clay, and fir, lavender, patchouli, and litsea essential oils.
