Whidbey Gardener’s hand soap
$7.50We made these bars for ourselves and neighbors who are gardeners and for our small-farm farmer neighbors too. So many small farms on Whidbey--yay!!! We've found that they're popular with all sorts of people who like to get their hands really dirty.
Storage and life of the bar: To extend the life of the bar, store it where it can dry quickly after use and where it doesn't get regular spray from the faucet.
Size: Roughly 3 ounce bars. These are made by hand in small batches and hand cut by cool women, not machines. This means most bars are 3 ounce and that the bars can range from 2.8 ounces to 3.5 ounces. We keep anything smaller than 2.8 ounces for ourselves and our families and to give as gifts to neighbors in need. We're not machines, people, nor do we want to be. :-)
Ingredients: Whidbey storm-fallen branches of Western Red Cedar & Douglas Fir (from Silly Dog Studios & walks in neighboring woods) infused in organic extra virgin olive oil, plus castor oil, sustainably sourced palm oil, coconut oil, sodium hydroxide, distilled water, sodium lactate, ground Usnea lichen (from storm-fallen branches on Whidbey), and a cedar fir patchouli lavender essential oil blend.
Packaging: This year, because of the global pandemic, we decided to wrap our soaps and shampoo bars in a small piece of paper to ensure safe handling. If you would prefer no packaging at all, just put that in the comments field when you order, and you'll get them bare naked! If you live off island and we ship them to you, they will still need to show up in a box. We're magic, but not that magic. Yet. :-)
